7th International Workshop on Teaching, Learning and Assessment of Databases

TLAD 2009

6th July 2009
University of Birmingham

In conjunction with the
26th British National Conference on Databases and
the Higher Education Academy

Submissions

Please send all submissions (papers, demonstration descriptions or panel/discussion group ideas) to tlad@sunderland.ac.uk. All submissions should be made as PDF or MS Word documents. The proceedings will be published by the Higher Education Academy.

Additional Publishing Opportunity

In addition to the proceedings being published by HEA there is an opportunity for prospective participants to contribute to a "workshop overview paper" which will be included in the BNCOD 2009 proceedings which will be published by Springer Verlag. The contents of the overview paper will be based on accepted abstracts. Authors of particularly pertinent abstracts will be invited to co-author the overview paper, provided they will be participating in the workshop. Abstracts of around 500 words should be submitted to tlad@sunderland.ac.uk by 27th March 2009. You may include up to 3 citations of relevant previous work to support your abstract. Accepted abstracts will feed into the overview paper and the relevant citations will make up its references section. It is expected that authors of accepted abstracts will participate in the workshop. Late submissions of abstracts will not be accepted for the overview paper on account of publishing deadlines which are very tight. If you intend participating and would like to contribute your work to the overview paper it would be helpful if you could notify your intention to tlad@sunderland.ac.uk as soon as possible. (Submitting a full paper for the workshop by the later date does not necessarily depend on having contributed to the overview paper.)
